Arab Mosque
The Islamic community of Foz do Iguacu is one of the largest in Brazil, committed itself to build the mosque, whose foundation stone was laid in 1981, inaugurated on March 23, 1983.
With a constructed area of 600 square meters and has an oval room of approximately 400m ². Its orientation is given by Mihrab, made in the posterior wall of the Mosque and indicative of the direction of the Holy City of Mecca.
With an incredible beauty the Mosque in Foz do Iguacu is a magnificent temple ornamented with arabesques, geometric designs in perfect and unified. The art is abstract and architecture, religious in character for the most part. Points minarets, towers surrounding the Mosque. Exquisite, although its specific function has been always a place where high rang five times a day the call to prayer, the towers also have other functions, the most important of the light signal.
