For two days, the confederation's leadership met in the Paraguayan capital to discuss the organization of various international sporting events such as the Copa América and the FIFA Futsal Liberty, among others. The city applied for and won two major tourist destinations: Fortaleza (CE) and the Santiago, Chile.
The games will be played in Gym Costa Cavalcanti. Copa America de Futsal will meet the 10 countries of CONMEBOL: Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The tournament will serve as qualifying for FIFA World Cup 2012.
