Foz do Iguassu Tours & Activities Cataratas Discovery Tour details
Cataratas Discovery
The Discovery Cataratas Tour offers a visit to the Brazilian side of the falls. The tour starts with a short environmental introduction to the park and the region, and continues with a panoramic bus ride for 11 kilometres to the Iguassu Waterfalls. Along this route you will see variety of flora, and realize how dense the local subtropical forest is.
After being introduced to the wildlife we will do a walking tour on the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls, approximately 1,200 meters long. The walk leads visitors along the river, with its many smaller falls from Argentinean side, to the base of the biggest waterfall. Here, a catwalk allows you to walk out to the edge of the series of falls making up Devil´s Throat. From here you also have a good, wide-angle view of the falls.
After walking the catwalk, there is a tower with a lift (and wheelchair access) to move you to the top of the falls and a fantastic panoramic view. From there, a trail leads to the end of the tour in front of the Iguassu River.
After the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel or in Foz do Iguaçu city center, leaving you with our personal recommendations for a good local restaurant.
This Iguassu Falls tour departs Foz do Iguassu at 8.30 am as we travel to Iguassu National Park. After a guided walk through the park and stops at some of the most spectacular points to see the falls, our adventure finishes by 12:30, when our guide will drop you off at your hotel or in Foz do Iguaçu city centre.
